has maintained and used his Utah contractors license consistently to the present time.
From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Baggaley was employed by Reaveley Engineers and Associates where he was responsible for structural design and construction
services on multiple large commercial building projects. While working at Reavely Engineers, Mr. Baggaley obtained his Utah Professional Engineers
license and his Utah Structrual Engineers license. Mr. Baggaley’s representative projects at Reaveley Engineers included the LDS Nauvoo Temple, Utah
State University Performance Halls, and the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration Office Building as well as major additions to the Salt Lake International
Airport. In particular, Mr. Baggaley enjoyed the challenge of investigating and retrofitting the seismic capacity of older structures to increase earthquake
safety. Mr. Baggaley’s seismic evaluation and retrofit projects included the 1958 Salt Lake International Airport Terminal 1, the Brigham Young University
(BYU) Brewster Building, BYU McKay Building, BYU Helaman Halls buildings, and the Utah State University Edith Bowen School of Elementary Education.
In 1998, Mr. Baggaley started his own real estate investment and property management company, Baggaley Enterprises LLC. Mr. Baggaley established
this company as a side venture to his engineering employment. Through this company Mr. Baggaley invested in multiple residential and commercial real
estate properties. As an owner of this company, Mr. Baggaley used his construction and engineering experience to construct, improve and subdivide
investment properties to increase rental income and property values.
In 2006 Mr. Baggaley accepted a position with CH2MHill as the lead structural engineer to oversee the completion and build out of the Intel/Micron
microchip manufacturing plant in Lehi Utah. As lead engineer he oversaw the construction of 7 buildings or additions to the manufacturing plant. Mr.
Baggaley also oversaw the structural engineering and installation of over 2 billion dollars of microchip manufacturing equipment. Mr. Baggaley worked for
CH2MHill until the completion and commissioning of the microchip plant in 2008.
In 2008, Mr. Baggaley was employed by Stanley Consultants where he specialized in engineering and construction services for government and
institutional facilities. Representative assignments included working as the structural lead and architectural advisor on the Brigham Young University cooling
tower plant, project engineer on the Salt Lake International Airport new terminal building, project engineer on the seismic evaluations of 29 buildings on
the US Navy Camp Lemonnier Base in Djibouti Africa, and was the lead investigator / design repair engineer for failures at the Rio Tinto Smelter facilities at
the Kennecott Copper mine. While at Stanley Consultants, Mr. Baggaley also served as the on-call structural engineer for the Salt Lake City International
Airport performing investigations into structural damages at the airport caused by wind, vehicle impact, and improper design among other causes.
In 2009 during an economic downturn, Mr. Baggaley voluntarily became a part time engineer with Stanley Consultants due to limited work opportunities
and devoted more time to his real estate and construction enterprises. During this time, Mr. Baggaley increased his property investments and used his
construction expertise to build multiple homes in Park City, Millcreek, and Holladay, Utah. When the economy improved Mr. Baggaley returned to full
employment with Stanley Consultants.
In 2017, Mr. Baggaley accepted employment at Rimkus Consulting Group as a senior engineer performing investigations into building failures and
construction related building defects. During his employment at Rimkus, Mr. Baggaley investigated and wrote forensic reports for over 200 building failures
in behalf of owners, insurance companies, and attorney’s. Mr. Baggaley investigated building failures throughout the intermountain area. At Rimkus, Mr.
Baggaley acted as an expert witness in dozens of litigation claims for construction defect cases, property management claims, and insurance disputes. As an
expert witness Mr. Baggaley gave expert testimony and wrote multiple legal reports. Mr. Baggaley’s testimony and reports were instrumental in the
resolution and settlement of several legal cases.
In 2021 Mr. Baggaley left the employment of Rimkus to further pursue real estate investments and start his own forensic engineering firm specializing in
construction defect investigation. As the square is the most fundamental of construction tools, Mr. Baggaley named the company Square Forensic
Consulting PLLC (Square FC). The term “Square” is also synonymous with fairness, equality, and un-yeilding integrity which are the tenants of Square FC.
At Square FC, Mr. Baggaley provides investigation and expert witness services in construction defect claims, insurance disputes, and property management
disputes. As a design engineer, licensed contractor, investment property owner, and property manager, Mr. Baggaley has an ability to assess construction
defects and evaluate insurance claims from a unique perspective. At Square FC, Mr. Baggaley services the States of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana.
Mr. Baggaley is intimately familiar with these states as he has provided forensic services throughout the intermountain region for several years and also has
family and investment properties throughout this area.
